ActionAid Zimbabwe Newsletter September - December 2022
Promoting Resilience Building in Communities to Cope with Shocks and Stresses
This issue is mainly covering the work under the Zimbabwe Resilience Building Fund (ZRBF) Zambezi Valley Alliance (ZVA) implemented by ActionAid Zimbabwe and partners in Binga, Mbire and Kariba from 2016 to 2022. As the ZRBF programme ended, this issue takes stock of some of the work ActionAid Zimbabwe and partners have done by providing snippets of the programme and the handover of the productive assets under the programme to communities. Some of the initiatives under the project included supporting smallholder farmers, especially women and youth to enhance their capacities, enable them to absorb, recover and adapt from the effects of shocks and stresses in a manner that protects livelihood, enhances recovery gains and support resilient sustainable agriculture. The ZRBF-ZVA project was financially and technically supported by the Government of Zimbabwe, European Union (EU), Foreign, Commonwealth and Development office (FCDO) formerly DFID, the Swedish Government, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The theme of the newsletter is Promoting Resilience Building in Communities to Cope with Shocks and Stresses. Read more to enjoy!
